So for our final haul we did really well and it’s super beautiful and really round! I have more potatoes than I know what to do with right now. Like, I have 100 more from a catering job as well. Sad CSA is over but excited to sleep in on a Saturday for once! Haha. We celebrated by going to brunch and having pear mimosas with the dog, she was pretty hungover but I think we fixed it.
vegetable share:
3 lbs sweet potatoes
3 lbs potatoes
2 lbs carrots
1 butternut squash or other squash

.10 parsley
1 rutabaga
Fruit share: 4 lbs Granny smith OR Fuji apples
Egg share: ½ dozen pastured eggs
See you next year, CSA! It has been super awesome!
Looks like there might be some potato soup in your future. Or a chowder. Whatever you decide, I know it will make the most out of your harvest.
What a fantastic photo! By the way, how do you typically use your mizuna?
OOOOHH Chowder is a great idea, Mom!!! You are the only reason I ever make anything decent.
As for mizuna, I usually am boring and just eat it in a salad with a grilled fish of some sort. Do you have a creative fun new way to use it?
