Vanilla Ice Cream with Strawberries and Almonds

So i bought an ice cream maker recently, and of course, Vanilla has to be the first thing that you make! Its so easy, i will never buy store bought again. Just make sure to always have a freezer bowl in. I lightened my recipe because i love ice cream, but do not want to be a pile. I took the Cuisinart recipe that came with it, and changed one of the 2 cups of cream to be skim milk, and one to be half and half…It melts faster, but tastes better (I tried this several ways)

1 cup half and half
1 cup whole milk
1 cup skim milk
3/4 cup sugar
1 tb vanilla extract (very good quality)
pinch of salt

Dissolve sugar into skim milk, then mix in everything else. Put into an airtight container and pop that baby into the fridge for at least an hour, then put into the freezer bowl and hit the on button. Ice Cream in 20 minutes. Top with fresh fruit, sliced almonds and coconut shavings.

And yes I know, this is definitely NOT ugly.
