CSA is looking a bit better this week. Danielle made a juice with the fennel so that’s out of my way! I just choked it down haha. Glad to have gotten zucchini and cucumber as promised this time around too. We juiced the bok choy as well, because what else are you gonna do with one little bok choy leaf!?
Vegetables:
1 bulb fennel
1 head cabbage
3 ears sweet corn
2 green peppers
2 onions
1 bunch Basil
1 bunch Parsley
1 head bok choi
1 zucchini (green and/or yellow)
1 Cucumber, white and/or green
.25 lb mesclun OR head lettuce
Fruit:
3 peaches
1 lb apricots
1 melon (cantaloupe or sunjewel, an Asian type of honeydew)
Eggs:
½ Dozen Pastured Eggs
Cheese:
From Adirondack Creamery you will receive . Wildflower Honey goat cheese and Berkshire Ewe’s Blue from Old Chatham Farm.
So I lose out on dairy share this week bc I’m allergic to blue cheese. We were told the share would be all fresh products and milk and yogurt, and so far I have gotten one serving of yogurt, so I am a little disappointed here, Doubt I’ll sign up for the dairy share next year.
